Non-B business visa and work permit
To work for a company in Thailand, you need a Non-immigrant B (business) visa and a work permit. Your Thai employer supports the application and must meet requirements such as registered capital and Thai staff numbers. You enter on a 90-day Non-B, then extend for up to a year at a time once your work permit is issued.
Which route fits you?
Most work visas start in one of three ways.
Performers
Actors, singers and musicians working for a hotel or entertainment venue need a specialised Non-B and a work permit. The employer needs at least THB 20 million in registered capital.

What it costs
The Non-B visa is THB 49,500, including our THB 19,500 service fee. Work permit processing is THB 18,000. If you need a Thai company, registration starts from THB 69,500.

What’s new in 2026
No major changes to this visa. No major changes have been announced for 2026. Requirements can still differ between embassies and immigration offices, so we check the current list for your case.

Visa-free entry is now 30 days. Since 15 September 2026, visitors from 60 countries and territories can stay up to 30 days without a visa, extendable once by up to 30 days for THB 1,900. It is no longer a practical way to start a long stay.
