Frequently asked questions
Usually not. Under the Foreign Business Act, most service businesses must be majority Thai-owned. Exceptions include companies with Board of Investment (BOI) promotion, a Foreign Business Licence, or US ownership under the Treaty of Amity. An independent lawyer should confirm what applies to you.
Most companies file monthly withholding tax and social security returns, VAT returns if VAT-registered, and each year audited financial statements and a corporate income tax return. We keep track of it all for you.
Usually, yes. A work permit is tied to a Thai employer. Most companies need THB 2 million in registered capital and four Thai employees for each foreign work permit, with some exceptions, such as BOI-promoted companies.
Not for most of the work. We handle the process online. A few steps, such as opening a company bank account, need you there in person, and we'll tell you exactly when.
